About Hypnosis

"Hypnosis has a 93% success rate with fewer sessions than both behavioral and psychotherapy, according to research studies. This led researchers to believe that for changing habits, thought patterns, and actual behavior, hypnosis was not only the most effective method but that it needed less time/sessions than other forms of therapy. (Alfred A. Barrios/1970).”(source)

Even better - You don't have to dig into the past to solve your problem!

What is Hypnosis?

All Hypnosis is Self-Hypnosis.

Hypnosis is a a mental state of heightened focused attention, reduced awareness of the immediate environment and enhanced willingness to accept suggestions - it is a natural state that we all experience during the day multiple times. For example, when we drive on a freeway for a long time we may forget that we're driving even though we are actively driving.

What is Hypnosis like?

Most describe being in hypnosis feeling very calm, increased positive affect, enhanced feelings of energy, and greater relaxation. It's a bit like right before you going to sleep, that brief moment you're aware but your so very relaxed.

You are not asleep and can hear everything that’s going on around you during hypnosis. You can respond in a natural way to anything that might happen. You are completely in control

You can not get ‘stuck’ in hypnosis – some people may want to stay a little longer in trance because it feels so good and relaxing.

It is a collaborative process – you are here to consciously change, but find it difficult to subconsciously believe that you can do it – if you did not want to consciously change, it would be very difficult for the hypnotherapist to assist you.

How Many Sessions Will I Need?

It really depends on each individual and varies on the issue. Some people find results in a few sessions in whereas others take longer. Some clients return indefinitely despite making huge progress as they find the sessions help not only their initial problem but additionally other areas of their life.

*While stage hypnosis is fun and entertaining, it is very different from hypnotherapy. The stage hypnotist is selecting the most highly suggestible people for demonstration combined with the fact that they are not changing the health or long-term behavior of their hypnosis subjects.
